SusWEF information at ZALF
- SusWEF scientists organized two scientific sessions focusing on the rebound effects and water–energy–food–environment (WEFE) nexus at the LANDSCAPE 2024 conference held in Berlin during 16-19 September 2024. The title of the sessions was “Sustainability Trade-offs in Irrigated-Based Agriculture Transformations”. Two posters on the WEFE nexus in the Aral Sea Basin were also presented at the event. - From 1 to 5 July 2024, a delegation from Uzbekistan, including scientists from “TIIAME” NRU and IWMI, visited Germany for scientific workshops. On 3 July, the SusWEF final project meeting was held at the Leibniz Association in Berlin, followed by an international workshop. On 4 July, a workshop on the establishment of a joint Living Lab in Uzbekistan took place at ZALF.

- Dr. Ahmad Hamidov attended the INNOWEEK 2023 during 16-20 October 2023 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He was a part of a German delegation led by BMBF experts:

- On 21 March 2023, Dr. Hamidov attended a strategic workshop “Zukunftswerkstatt Zentralasien: Neue Horizonte für die Forschungskooperation” in Bonn, which was organized by BMBF.

- On December 14, 2022, ZALF organized a workshop to discuss BMBF-funded SusWEF project "Sustainable water-saving irrigation technologies to achieve water, energy and food security in the context of climate change in Uzbekistan" with partners from Uzbekistan. Further Information:
